Sunrise and sunsets have always been highlights of my day. That is of course, if there’s time to watch them! My first delivery of an 8 pound baby was at KKMH. As a medical student then, I was staying at the hospital quarters, and the baby came at 5.30 am. Post delivery as I walked back to my room at daybreak, I witnessed a beautiful sunrise!  The feeling of how marvelous God is with the dawn of a new life into this world, was exhilarating! It brought goose pimples to my skin! Indeed, anyone who has eyes to see, can experience and marvel at the presence of the Creator in these situations. Recently, while on a sea cruise, I took this picture of the morning sun breaking through the clouds over the sea. I showed this picture to a fellow traveler, and the only word that she uttered was, “God!”. It is at moments like these, that one feels the presence of the Creator. Ignatian spirituality encourages us to find God in myself, others and in all situations for God’s greater glory!

Yes. “ I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever”. Psalm 145.
